It’s never enough time, is it?

We said goodbye to our first little hedgehog, Miss Penelope last weekend.  It’s been a rough couple months for her, struggling wtih an eye infection of some kind – visiting and vet and different medications. She started to get better,  and as I do each Sunday – was cleaning her tank , got her out for some snuggles and noticed,  she wasn’t herself.

I got a nice little heat pad going ,  as hedgies love the warmth –  snuggled her close to hopefully get her to feel better.  Her breathing slowed, then,  as if she had just slipped off to a nap, she left this world.

I’m thankful to have been with her, and I’m thankful she was in my arms when she left.

I’m so sad she is gone,  but am glad she didn’t suffer and had the best, spoiled little hedgehog life.  We miss you, sweet little girl, rest easy my little love.

New Stuff, WE LOVE! #shoploxa

We just love this stuff….  @johnpaulpet #shoploxa !  They were kind enough to send us some shampoo and CONDITIONER!!

Tub Time was wonderful!  Both dogs had a scrub down,  and Bo’s “butt-fro” got the special treatment with an awesome conditionor.

The smell is great, and the Oatmeal formula helps with itchy and dry skin!  Miss Willow’s coat has never been so shiny and it was a breeze to brush through Bo’s thick, long coat!

We are fans, and definate followers!  Check them out, and check out their awesome products!  They are Bo and Willow approved!

Thank you  @JohnPaulPet #shoploxa  —  We have never been happier wtih a product!

One Tank Trips!

IMG_2735 IMG_2734 IMG_2736

We love taking our beloveds on trips around the beautiful State of Colorado!  We particularly love over night stays, in hotels that allow our babies to come along!

With Willow being new to the pack,  we have yet to venture out on an over night trip with her. That will change this weekend, more to come on that, a bit later!

This weekend we took a “quick” trip up near Devils Head here in Colorado.  The area was recently hit by a tornado, and we had yet to see if there was damage.

We packed the kids up and headed out of town for a fun road trip!

The area is just beautful… Willow and Bo enjoyed running around the tall grass and checking out the sights and smells.

This weekend we are headed to Steamboat Springs for a two night stay! It’s sure to be relaxing and enjoyed by the four of us!

Kayaking with Adventure Bo

Bo has been the BEST kayak navigator – and with our new addition, we thought, who better than to teach Miss Willow bean how to kayak, then the master himself!

Well….she’s going to need a bit more practice AND Mom will need some more towels…  But we had so much fun on the lake and as a traditional lab would,  Willow stuck to retrieving sticks from the lake.

We have some great adventures planned for the remainder of summer, and I look   forward to sharing them with you all soon.

It’s been a rocky road…..

We are back! Bo took a bit of a blogging hiatus but has some excellent news and is thrilled to be, back in the saddle!

Lots of good, and lots of not so good news this last year… First, we said goodbye to one of our founding dog bloggers, Miss Aspen. It’s just been a year since she earned her angel wings, and we miss her each day.
Second, co-founder and worlds best cousin moved back to CO! We are no longer separated by mountains, just a highway now! And! She’s welcomed a sweet baby boy.
In addition, we added a new family member to our pack! Miss Willow was brought home in November of 2014.

We are thrilled to be back blogging, and will continue to update the fun, here! Thanks for following and keeping up with us!

Doggy DIY

There is very little I enjoy about my human’s need to do “Do It Yourself” (DIY) Projects. I enjoy that I get to be around them all day since they are not at work. I LOVE that they take me to Home Depot and Lowe’s numerous times during a project; I once had the pleasure of going to Home Depot 4 times in one day! Last, I enjoy when they are done with a project because they just relax with me afterwards!

What I don’t like about DIY Projects is that I am not going on hikes or exploring nature with my people! I have to stay at home, watch them make a mess of the area undergoing a project, and sometimes they won’t let me help! I am a very talented painter and love using my tail as a paint brush. The first time the did a DIY paint job I made sure to cover my whole right side in paint so I could help them complete their project faster! Instead of being happy with my contribution I received a bath and was locked out of the bathroom…

I love fresh paint!

I love fresh paint!

The recent DIY project I was allowed to be a part of was painting their Master Bedroom. To show them my lack of interest in their project I took a nap against their freshly primed wall. My lack of enthusiasm sadly did not halt their project, but instead they add a few more painting projects to this DIY list.

Murphy and I have turned to conducting a “sit in” in our dog house (which is my favorite DIY project they have ever done). Unfortunately this has not worked, we give up too easily on our “sit in” when they tell us we are going to Home Depot.

Two of our Four founding dogs…..

We are pleased to introduce eight of the sixteen founding paws behind Paw Prints Blog!

Miss Aspen –Our black lab just turned 13, 10/17/2000 and is the sweetest dog — so independent! She does not love long walks, but does enjoy LONG car rides and buffalo ear snacks!
My Mountain Dogs
Bo– His birthday is in January, and he will be 7! How the time flies… Bo is our busy boy. He enjoys long walks, tennis balls, footballs and running water of any kind!
